Baseball - the ultimate summer sport

Baseball is a fun and exciting sport, that is growing every year.

Children’s Baseball

Northland Baseball runs an after-school based competition for children aged 5-13. The competition involves school-based teams from around the Whangarei District and is played during term four of the school year. Games are played on Thursday afternoons from 4.30-6.00pm at William Fraser Memorial Park (in Riverside).

Players from the competition are invited to trial for the Northland team in January each year. In February this team travels to Auckland and competes in the Baseball NZ National Champs. Last year the Under 13 team made history, making it into the semi-finals. For more information about our school competition click here.

Adults/High School-Age Baseball

This year, by popular demand, Northland Baseball is running a Twilight Baseball Competition. The competition is a social mixed competition aimed at teenagers/adults keen to show off their skills and have a bit of fun. We play from 6.00-7.15pm at William Fraser Memorial Park (in Riverside). For more information about our Twilight competition click here.

Training Sessions

For the more serious players wanting to learn more, we also run training sessions on Sundays at William Fraser Memorial Park. For more information phone Chris Jackson on 021 056 9521 or Aaron Moore on 09 459 5404 or 027 459 5405.
